A Gewinde-Grenzlehrdorn is a blend of a Gutlehrdorn and an Ausschusslehrdorn. The Ausschuss side, marked by a red ring, should not screw into a cut thread by hand without force. If it does, the thread is subpar. The Gut side should screw in smoothly. If it doesn't, the thread is faulty. The maximum allowable turns for the Ausschuss side is two. Beyond that, the thread is unacceptable. The reference temperature for parts and gauges is 20°C. VÖLKEL offers a factory calibration certificate upon request. Independent lab calibration follows DIN, ISO, ANSI standards on IAC-Gewindescanner.
