When replacing an existing handle, the screw posts for the handle must be 1-3/4" apart. For new installations, a new 7/8-inch hole for the keylock will be required. The lock can be installed above or below the handle, depending on your preference. The spindle for the deadlock may be cut for your particular installation. Before drilling, ensure that the inside latch and lock do not interfere with the operation of your main door handle. If they do, raise or lower the storm door hardware.
