Parrots that wear this product will be unable to fly and they will struggle to climb. This is common when they first wear the collar but they will get used to using it over time. What is a stiff insert bird collar? A stiff insert bird collar provides the typical cone shape you normally get with an all-plastic collar from the vet. It provides added protection from plucking while still having a soft and comfortable fleece outside. The insert is a PET/Plexiglass sheet that is cut and formed to make the perfect cone shape. This also means that our collars can be washed by hand without causing any damage to the product. Prevents plucking of the chest, back, wings, and under the wings. Does not stop parrots from getting to their feet and tail, with an extra bottom layer. Measurements: The neck hole diameter is 2 inches (6.25-inch circumference). The diameter of the entire collar is 11.5 inches (36-inch circumference). What parrots can fit in this collar? These collars fit blue and gold macaws, scarlet macaws, red and green macaws, hyacinth macaws, red-fronted macaws, blue-throated macaws, and military macaws. (Macaws and parrots of similar size will fit this collar as well)
